ASCAP Richard Rodgers Award

The ASCAP Richard Rodgers Award is an annual award presented by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, in recognition of lifetime achievement by composers and lyricists in musical theatre.

The award was established in 1983, by Dorothy Rodgers in honor of her late husband Richard Rodgers. Winners have included Howard Dietz, Stephen Sondheim, and Marvin Hamlisch.
