Yeysk ( _ru. Ейск) is a port town and the administrative center of
Yeysky District ofKrasnodar Krai . Population: 86,349 (2002 Census); 78,150 (1989 Census).It is located on the
Taganrog Gulf of theSea of Azov at the neck of theYeya Spit that separates theYeya Firth of theYeya River from the sea.The town was founded in
1848 by prince Mikhail Vorontzov according to Russian Tzar's order.Climate
Yeysk has a mild climate. Average temperature in January is C to F|-4. Summers are very warm, with average July temperature of C to F|24. Average rainfall is about 450 mm a year.
Yeysk resorts
Yeisk is known for its mineral waters and mud with alleged medical properties. There are three parks, a sanatorium, recreation centres, a system of hotels, and sandy beaches in Yeysk. The swimming season lasts from May till September. It is possible to find a great number of attractions, restaurants, open-air cafes, clubs, bars, discos in town.
