William Bonnifield

William Bonnifield

William Bonnifield (September 8, 1814-November 8, 1875) (also known as William Bounifield and William Bonnefield) was a Democrat who served one month as Kansas City Mayor in 1863 during the American Civil War.

Bonnifield was born in Randolph, Virginia. He was involved in a mining operations in Running Creek, Colorado with the McGee family. He was pro-North in the War. He neglected his duties as mayor and resigned after 30 days.
