Generation "We..."

Generation "We..."

The term Generation "We..." [cite web | url = http://www.nationaljournal.com/campaigns/2007/articles/0309nj1.htm | title=Generation 'We' — The Awakened Giant] is used to describe what was previously thought of as Generation Y, "Echo Boomers" and Generation Z. It applies to people living in Western or First World cultures born between the approximate years of 1982 through the present. Superficially it marks a change in our relationship to technology [cite web | url = http://news.cnet.com/2009-1025_3-6151768.html | title=A new crop of kids: Generation We] . The Wii video game console has been a revolutionary step for technology and the impact of interactive computing cannot be overestimated. More fundimentally though, the "We..." generation describes a generation of unity, diversity and hope rather than a ominous alphabetic countdown.

It's name represents a return to traditional American values, an appreciation of American history and ultimately "We.." as in: "We the people of these United States of America"
