John Douglas (author)

John Douglas (author)

John Douglas is an author who wrote 4 horror novels in the mid 1990s. They are:

* The Late Show, 1994
* Cursed, 1995
* Hard Shoulder, 1996
* Zoo Event, 1996

Little is known about him, and there is some doubt as to whether he is criminal psychology author and former F.B.I. agent John E. Douglas. Supporting this is the fact that there are reputable fantasy or science-fiction web sites which list the above works together with at least some works by John E. Douglas, and attribute them to "John Douglas". [http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/ea.cgi?John%20Douglas John Douglas - Summary Bibliography] [http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/d/john-douglas/ Fantastic Fiction: John Douglas] Perhaps adding to the confusion is the fact that John E. Douglas's books are often published as by "John Douglas" rather than "John E. Douglas". FantasticFiction.co.uk even gives biographical details about John Douglas that clearly equate him with John E. Douglas.

However, another source - Salisbury Library in South Australia - gives John Douglas's birth year as 1955, without giving any further information [http://dhip.salisbury.sa.gov.au/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=1W1V2743539F9.10624&profile=lb--2&uri=link=3100017~!31209~!3100001~!3100002&aspect=basic_search&menu=search&ri=1&source=~!horizon&term=Douglas%2C+John%2C+1955-&index=PAUTHOR] , whereas John E. Douglas was born in 1945.
