T.R. Carr has been the current mayor of the city of Hazelwood, Missouri in northern St. Louis County, Missouri, since April 2000.

Prior to being elected mayor, Carr was a professor and the chairman of the Public Administration and Policy Analysis Department at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He has maintained these academic positions during his tenure as mayor.
