Glasgow ,Scotland , approximately 1.5 miles (2.5km) from the City Centre. The Heliport is located within the grounds of theScottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and directly across theRiver Clyde from theGlasgow Science Centre .The Heliport is owned and operated by Bond Aviation Services and it is the operating base for the
Strathclyde Police air support unit and TheScottish Ambulance Service 'Helimed 5' helicopter. These units are operated by Bond under contract and both consist of aEurocopter EC-135 . The heliport can also handle an amount of passenger traffic too, especially during major events at the nearby SECC.
