Amsterdam University College (AUC) is a Liberal Arts and Sciences College founded in 2008 by the
Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam ) and theUniversity of Amsterdam . This is the fourthUniversity College founded inthe Netherlands . The other three University Colleges are located inUtrecht ,Middelburg andMaastricht .The first 200 students to attend the AUC will commence in September 2009. Amsterdam University College is working to develop a student body composed of 50% foreign students and 50% international, local students.

But when AUC opens, its academic buildings will be located for the first three years on the eastern edge of Amsterdam city centre, in the Plantage neighbourhood.Curriculum

Bachelor degree taught entirely in English. Students may choose their own study path within the programme. Students will be able to follow subjects of their own choice connected to their chosen theme.
