- Anthony Adamson
Anthony (Tony) Patrick Cawthra Adamson (1906 –
May 3 ,2002 ) was a Canadian architect, author, teacher, and municipal politician.Born in
Toronto, Ontario to Agar Adamson and Mabel Cawthra, he grew up inPort Credit, Ontario on the family estate, studied architecture at theUniversity of Cambridge and theUniversity of London . He was an architect, architectural planner, and an associate professor of town planning at theUniversity of Toronto from 1950 to 1967. From 1953 to 1954, he was the Reeve of Toronto Township (now calledMississauga ). From 1969 to 1974, he was Chairman of theOntario Arts Council .He was a Fellow of the
Royal Architectural Institute of Canada . In 1974, he was made an Officer of theOrder of Canada .In 1931, he married Augusta Bonnycastle.
