Manchester, New Hampshire , where he was a McDonald's All American Nominee. While playing at Trinity, he was the catalyst of a team that was ranked in the nation's top 25 for high school basketball, the only team in the history of New Hampshire to do so. Trinity High School was ranked 11th nationally on ihigh.com, 23rd in "Sporting News" magazine and 14th in "USA Today" during 2004. While at Trinity, Brickley set school records for most points in a game (50) and most 3-pointers during the state playoffs. He was the teammate ofLuke Bonner (UMass), who is the brother ofMatt Bonner (San Antonio Spurs ). At Trinity, Brickley played under the coaching of Frank Alosa.As a freshman at
Northeastern University , Brickley was stuck behind current NBA point guardJosé Juan Barea (Dallas Mavericks ). When Barea was sidelined with an injury, Brickley started and had a season-high 10 points in 22 minutes in a win vs. Puerto Rico Mayaguez. After the departure of Northeastern's coach Ron Everhart (Duquesne University ), Brickley transferred toSouthern New Hampshire University . At SNHU, Brickley scored 13.0 points a game as a sophomore. He had a season-high 30 points in a win vs.American University , in which he set a school record for most points as a sophomore in a conference game. He was twice named NE-10 player of the week and was on the honorable mention list five times. He finished in the league's top 15 in scoring and top 10 in minutes. During Brickley's junior year at SNHU, he decided to transfer to the University of Louisville to play under coachRick Pitino . Brickley will be eligible to play in the 2008-2009 season, which will mark his last year of college eligibility.Brickley is well known in the state of New Hampshire. He has been said to be the best point guard ever to come out of the state. He is one of New Hampshire's most high profile athletes.
