Grŵp Gwalia Cyf

Grŵp Gwalia Cyf is a housing association (provider of social housing) in south and mid Wales. Gwalia is the largest housing associaion in Wales in terms of staff and turnover. [http://www.gwalia.com/main.cfm?Type=SI]

Gwalia's chief executive is Professor Michael Williams, who joined the group in 1982. The group manages over 5,500 homes and comprises five registered social landlords:

*Tai Cartrefi Cyf
*Ymddiriedolaeth Tai Gwalia ( _en. Gwalia Housing Trust)
*Tai Gŵyr Cyf

The group was founded as Gwalia housing society Ltd in Swansea in 1973. The society was organisated by a group of local people and consultants to provide quality low cost housing in Wales. The organisation was renamed Gwalia Housing Group Ltd in the 1980s and Grŵp Gwalia Cyf in 2005.
