Redonda Mesa is a tall
mesa located in an unincorporated area of southwesternRiverside County, California near thePacific Ocean , located in the SouthernSanta Ana Mountains . It stands up at 2,825 feet above sea level.Description
The mesa lies almost right on the Riverside-San Diego County Line, just a couple miles northeast of
Camp Pendleton and 11 miles west ofTemecula .The views from atop of this mesa are redundant on clear days in all directions, to the south you can see Oceanside,Fallbrook , De Luz and Bonsall. To the north, you can see more of the interiorSanta Ana Mountains . To the east, you can see the Temecula Valley below, as well asAnza and theSan Jacinto Mountains further east. To the west, you see more ofCamp Pendleton , the last undeveloped coastal land in Southern California, thePacific Ocean as well asSanta Catalina Island on very clear days, and you can see parts of coastal citySan Clemente northwest in lower Orange County. This mesa is also covered inCoastal Sage Scrub , some of the last remaining in Southern California.External Links
