Bob Ferris (Likely Lads)

Robert Andrew Scarborough Ferris or Bob Ferris, is a fictional charactor in British sitcoms The Likely Lads, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads and The Likely Lads (film) played by Bingley born actor Rodney Bewes. He is single in The Likely Lads, marries Thelma Chambers in Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? and still married to her in the film. He works as an electrician and later as a civil engineer. Bob is a long term friend of Terry Collier.

Personality

Bob is keener then Terry to mask his working class routes. After marrying Thelma Chambers, Bob aspires to be accepted by the middle classes, much to Terry's disgust. Bob enjoys playing squash, with wife Thelma, however equally enjoys drinking with Terry. Bob often blames the fact he drinks and smokes too much on Terry, he also blames his poor diet on Terry. All though this is true in part, Bob need little persuading to stay drinking in the pub rather then go home to his wife.
