Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics

The Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics is a museum in Moscow, dedicated to exhibits about the history and continuation of Russian and Soviet space exploration and flight. It opened on April 10, 1981 to comemmorate the 20th anniversary of the day Yuri Gagarin became the first human to orbit the Earth in space.

The museum is located "inside" the Monument to the Conquerors of Space in Moscow. According the Russian tourist board it has over 8000 exhibits.citeweb|url=http://www.russianmuseums.info/M329|title=Russian Museums Guide]
