"Stone Sour" is the eponymous debut album by the band Stone Sour. It was released on 27 August 2002, ten years after the band's formation.

It contains three singles, two of which gained a fair amount of rotation on MTV. The singles are "Get Inside", "Bother", and "Inhale" in chronological order.

The Special Edition of the album contains 5 b-sides by Stone Sour: "Rules of Evidence", "The Wicked", "Inside the Cynic", "Kill Everybody", and "Road Hogs." The DVD also features the music videos for each of the 3 singles.

The second single, "Bother", was originally billed as a solo song by frontman Corey Taylor. It later became credited under the band's name.

Reception

The album earned two Grammy Award nominations ("Get Inside" & "Inhale") and has been certified Gold by the RIAA for album sales of 500,000.

Playing Style

The band played a traditional Hard rock style of music. However at times, the album is extremely aggressive, but also very melodic. The song "Get Inside" is very reminiscent of Corey Taylor and Jim Root's other band Slipknot's playing style.
