- The Basement Sessions (Painface Demo)
Painface recorded within Anders basement in the years 1992 (Part I) and 1994 (Part Two) though they became known as Slipknot in 1995. Here was the line-up when the basement sessions were confirmed.
*
Anders Colsefini - vocals
*Shawn Crahan - drums
*Paul Gray -Bass Guitar
*Patrick Neuwirth -Guitar Patrick Neuwirth left the band after due to his want of a more alternative/punk style of music. This left three, they recruited
Donnie Steele for their band some time later.Recordings
The band firstly recorded "Gently", "Slipknot" and "Idiot". They split up due to Shawn Crahan's work and this explains the 2 year delay of their next session. "Gently" was labelled as 'The Genesis Track' (Meaning it's the full original) also "Idiot" was 'extended' more than the second version. The first version of "Slipknot" contain much more drumming and symbols than the second version.
