Depsang Plains

Depsang Plains

The Depsang Plains are located on the border of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and the disputed zone of Aksai Chin. The Chinese army occupied the plains in 1962[1] only to partially withdraw days later. The area is currently disputed, with both China occupying and laying claim to the eastern portion of the Depsang Plains, and India occupying the western portion and laying claim to all of the Depsang Plains.
