Broken Records (band)

Broken Records (band)

Broken Records are a seven piece "indie folk" band from Edinburgh, formed in 2006.

Currently without a record label, publications such as NME and Q have tipped them for big things, and the band expect to sign a deal soon.

They played a well received set at T in the Park's T Break stage in 2007 and have gone on to play two sets at the 2008 Connect Festival, including a well-attended headline set at the Your Sound bandstand.

They have released two singles to date - If The News Makes You Sad Don't Watch It and Slow Parade.

Use of the violin, cello and accordian gives them a distinctly Scottish edge and their faster numbers have been known to provoke ceilidh dancing at gigs. NME has branded them the Scottish Arcade Fire, although this is an accolade previous bestowed on My Latest Novel.
