Norr International] The National Bank of Dubai (Also known as NBD) was formed in Dubai in June 1963 and provides both conventional and Islamic banking services. In October 2007 it announced a merger with the Emirates Bank International to form Emirates NBD, currently the largest banking group in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Both of the pre-merger banks will continue to operate as separate entities until the integration (merger) is completed.
