A chronology of the Hottinger family.

*1401, Hans Heinrich and Rodolphe Hottinger appointed Burghers of the city of Zurich.1500
*1507, Rodolphe becomes a member of the Zurich Grand council.
*1524, Klaus Hottinger a disciple of zwingli was beheaded in Lucerne and became the first martyr of the Swiss Protestantism movement.1600
*1620, birth of Johann Heinrich Hottinger
*1652, birth of Johann Jakob Hottinger1700
*1740, through Hans-Rodolphe, the Hottingers enter the world of business and Trade.
*1764, birth of Hans-Konrad. Hans-Konrad becomes and expert in matters of Finance and international trade. Later he would change his name to jean-Conrad.
*1786, the name Hottinger appears under; bankers, in the Almanach Royal de France.
*1799, In France a (U) is added to the name Hottinger making it Hottinguer. 1800
*1803, Baron Jean-Conrad Hottinguer sits on the board of Regents of the Banque de France created in 1800.
*1810, Jean-Conrad Hottinger is made a Baron of the French Empire.
*1816, Hottinger & Cie, Paris confirms its interests in the insurance business. Key players in the Establishment of the Compagnie Royale d´Assurance Maritime after the creation in 1789.
*1818, Benjamin Delessert and Hans-Konrad jointly found the Caisse d´Epargne and Prèvoyance de Paris, the first savings bank for small investors.
*1848 Jean-Henri Hottinger who married Caroline Delessert, last banker of her dynasty, take over “Banque Delessert”
*1852, Hottinguer & Cie Paris, helps to set up the campaign Gènèrale des Eaux (currently known as (VEOLIA) , and the first French rail net work.
*1863, Creation, Along with several other Major banking families, of the Banque Ottomane in Constantinople which subsequently became, ANZ, Australia & New Zealand Bank.1900
*1904, Co-founder of the Banque de L`Union parisieene later merged Credit du Nord.
*1905, Hottinger & Cie Paris participates in funding the construction of the Trans-Siderian Railway.
*1945, Hottinger & Cie participates in the founding of assurance Drouot, which eventually becomes part of the AXA group.
*1964, Establishment of the Compagnie Gènèrale de Banque Soficam.
*1968, Establishment of Hottinger & Cie in Zurich, Switzerland.
*1969, Establishment in Paris, France of the Société Financière pour le Financement de Bureaux et d'Usines (sofibus), A merchant bank subsidiary of Financière Hottinguer.
*1981, Hottinger Capital Corporation is opened in New York.
*1987, Creation of the Swiss Helvetia Fund in New York. First NYSE listing to only deal in Swiss equities.
*1897, Hottinger & Cie is opened in Geneva, Switzerland.
*1992, Hottinger & Cie is opened in Luxembourg.
*1996, Hottinger Bank & Trust Limited is opened in Nassau, The Bahamas.
*1997, Credit Suisse takes 80% of Hottinguer & Cie in Paris, France.
*1999 Establishment of Hottinger Capital SA, in Geneva, Switzerland.2000
*2001, Hottinger & Co is created in London. Also PMA( Portfolio Management Associates) Vienna, Austria.
*2002, Establishment of Hottinger Asset management Canada inc.
*2005, Establishment of Hottinger et Associates Lugano S.A., Switzerland.
*2006, Establishment of Hottinger & Co AG, Basel, Switzerland.
