Venaccio (born Jason Horvath on September 26, 1985) is an American Progressive House DJ. Having been active in smaller clubs in Colorado since early 2007 (particularly in and around the city of Boulder, Colorado) Venaccio was signed to the System Recordings record label in 2008. Thus far his only release is the 4 song EP entitled "Forever Today," which includes the single of the same name. His next EP is expected to be available in late 2008.

Name Origins

Unsubstantiated rumors claim that the word "venaccio" alludes to a verb in a non-english language that means "to hunt or to kill," but said language has never been identified, and Venaccio has never confirmed this.

Style

Although his music is most commonly classified as Progressive House, his musical style has shown a heavy trance and electro influence, something which is especially evident in some of his earlier music featured on his myspace site. According to the same site his influences include such artists as Tiësto, Dieselboy, Dirty South, Deadmau5, and The Doors.
