Egypt sent a delegation to compete at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia. Egyptian athletes won six gold medals, eleven silver and eleven bronze, enabling their country to finish 23rd out of 123 on the medal table. Athletics

Egypt won three gold medals, six silver and seven bronze in athletics. Among the medallists were:
* men's javelin: Mahmoud El-Attar (gold; 49.92m, WR), El-Sayed Moussa (silver), Hani El-Behairy (bronze)
* men's shotput: Ibrahim Allam (gold; 14.77m, PR), Hani El-Behairy (silver)
* men's discus: Ali Ibrahim (silver), Hossam Abdel-Latif (bronze)
* men's 400m: Ahmed Hassan (silver)
* women's discus: Karima Feleifal (bronze)
* women's javelin: Zakia Abdeen (bronze; 23.69m)

Powerlifting

Egypt won three gold medals, five silver and four bronze, dropping from first place in Atlanta to third in Sydney, behind China and Nigeria. Among the medallists were:
* men's 50kg: Metwally Mat'hana (gold; 197.5kg, PR)
* men's 52kg: Ussama El-Sergani (silver)
* men's 56kg: Ahmed Gomaa (gold; 192.5kg, WR)
* men's 67.5kg: Shaaban Ibrahim (silver)
* men's 75kg: Sayed Abdel-Al (silver)
* men's 85.5kg: Mustafa Hamed (bronze)
* men's 90kg: Abdel-Moneim Farag (bronze)
* men's 100kg: Sherif Bakr (silver)
* women's 44kg: Fatma Omar (gold)
