La Academia (Season 6)

La Academia (Season 6) is the last generation of La Academia as stated by its producer Eva Borja, auditions were held on many cities in México (D.F; Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tijuana) Guatemala (Guatemala City) and the US (Los Angeles) in July. The program is being broadcasted on Televisión Azteca for 16 weeks from August 31 to December 21, 2008. The director of the academy is Héctor Martinez, the same of the first two generations. The teachers are almost the same of the first generation, the host is Rafael Araneda from Chile, 20 is the number of contestants who are competing in the last generation of La Academia. On December 21, 2008 it will be the finale, where the six generations will be singing all together closing the show and the reality forever. Rafael Araneda has hinted that if the show meets public expectations the generation will extend up a month or so.
