Usutuaije Maamberua

Usutuaije Maamberua is a Namibian politician and accountant. Maamberua is the head of the South West Africa National Union (SWANU). An accountant by training, Maamberua worked as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance from 1997-2003 and became head of the accounting department at the University of Namibia in 2007.

Education

Maamberua earned three Master of Arts degrees (from University of Namibia, Heriot-Watt University and University of Southampton) and one Ph.D. (University of the Witwatersrand) in Business and economics related fields. Politics

Maamberua was the Permanent Secretariat in the Ministry of Finance from 1997-2003. In that year, Maamberua was demoted to the Ministry of Prisons and Correctional Services. Shortly after receiving the demotion, Maamberua resigned to pursue other career opportunities.
