Ruisbroek

Ruisbroek is a small suburb of Brussels located in the Flemish Brabant area just over the Brussels city border, 6 minutes by train from Brussels south station (Gare du Midi) and also on Brussels region bus line.

Not much happens in Ruisbroek. There are many older inhabitants but most properties are now bought by the young Brussels families who can't find and affordable property in town. Even though officially the Flemish language is used, most people happily switch from one language to another (except the local officials), and there is a high population of French speakers.
