Uthumporn

Uthumporn (Borommaratcha IV) (1758) was the son of Borommakot, the 32th reign of Ayutthaya Kingdom. He was chosen by his father to be heir and ascended the throne after his death. The chronicle shows conflict between him and his brothers, particular his elder brother, Prince Anurakmontree, or late King Ekathat. Only two months after his ascension, his brother left from monkhood and forced King Uthumporn to step down. King Uthumporn eventually entered monkhood.Fact|date=September 2008

Role in Burmese War

When Burmese attacked Ayutthaya in 1767, King Ekathat asked Uthumporn to quit monkhood, and help him to resist Burmese force.However when Ayutthaya fell, Uthumporn was captured and taken to Burma. According to a late chronicle, it is believed that Uthumporn died in Mandalay.Fact|date=September 2008
