Random Acts of Kindness Day

Random Acts of Kindness Day, or RAK Day, is an unofficial holiday celebrated every September 1 in New Zealand. [http://www.rak.co.nz/] Participants are asked to do random acts of kindness for strangers or people they know.

The holiday began at a national level in 2005 [http://www.rak.co.nz/LinkClick.aspx?link=Images%2fNews%2f07%2fASpecialDay.jpg&tabid=76&mid=482] by Josh de Jong and Marshall Gray.
