"Lucid Dreams" is a single from the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand, expected to appear on their forthcoming album "Tonight". Originally only listenable through a static-covered stream on the band's website and the video game "Madden NFL 09", it was released as a single through iTunes on August 19, 2008 (despite an earlier message on the band's diary having stated "it's not a single" [ [http://franzferdinand.co.uk/blog_band2/index.php Franz Ferdinand Diaries] - Lucid Dreams] ). "Lucid Dreams" has a more dance-like sound than Franz Ferdinand's other songs, although it remains firmly indie.Fact|date=October 2008 The lyrics are apparently from the perspective of a globe-trotting European.
