*William Fechteler - (6 March 1896 - 4 July 1967) was an admiral in the United States Navy who served as Chief of Naval Operations during the Eisenhower administration.

*USS Fechteler - Two ships in the United States Navy have been named USS "Fechteler":
** The first "Fechteler" (DE-157) was launched in 1943 and sunk in battle in 1944.
** The second "Fechteler" (DD-870) was launched in 1945 and decommissioned in 1970.
