Abd Al Gadir Mohammed Mulla

Abd Al Gadir Mohammed Mulla is one of the most famous gold traders in Sudan during the 20th Century. He had learnt the trade from his older brother Hussein and managed to establish the gold market in Sudan (Soug Al Suyagh) in Ummdurman.

Abd Al Gadir was the second child born to Mohammed Mulla and Hawa daughter of Tahir Agha the governor of Al Gitina region of Sudan.Abd Al Gadir married three women, Alshol daughter of Mohammed Abd-Allah, Khameesah, and Hawa daughter of Al Tahir. Abd Al Gadir also founded the Mulla family of Sudan who are related through marriage to most of the oldest families in Sudan.

Abd Al Gadir and Al Shol had four sons and a daughter. Mohammed, Mahmoud, Ali, Hamid and Ruqya.
