Lakesweed

In Mythology, Lakesweed is the weeds or reeds which grow under water and drag trespassers down to their deaths should they venture into restricted territory. Often, these weeds are under the command of a higher power source, such as a Warlock or other leader who has the capability to exercise Witchcraft. In the popular video game Eternal Champions, the player is dragged down to their death by Lakesweed as a special ending the the match in the Trident character's natural habitat.

"Lakesweed" is also occasionally used as a street name for Cannabis.
