George Galatis

George Galatis was a nuclear engineer and whistleblower who reported safety problems at the Millstone 1 Nuclear Power Plant in 1996 (specifically that the plant was moving spent nuclear fuel into the spent fuel pool sooner than the 250 hour time limit). As a result of going to the NRC, Galatis experienced "subtle forms of harassment, retaliation, and intimidation". George Galatis was the subject of a Time magazine cover story on March 4, 1996.
