"Stop the World" is the second single from Extreme's third studio album "III Sides to Every Story".

It is the first power ballad released from the album, and although it tried to match the success of the band's previous successful ballads "More Than Words" and "Hole Hearted", it proved to be a commercial failure as well as the whole album, and it was not successful in the US, nor in the UK.
