The flag state of Jalisco is a rectangle divided into two horizontal stripes of identical measures, with the colors in the following order from the flagpole: Blue and Gold.

This is the flag of the former Kingdom of Nueva Galicia which covered much of the current state of Jalisco's territory, including also the current states of Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and Nayarit.
