Kandik

Kandik was an Avar khagan between 554 and 562. He led his people as refugees away from the Turks and approached Sarosios to mediate for him with the Byzantine Empire in 557. The Eastern Hunno-Bulgars that his people conquered became known as Kutrigurs.
