Russia–South Ossetia relations

Russia–South Ossetia relations refers to bilateral foreign relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia.

On August 30, 2008, Eduard Kokoity, the President of South Ossetia, said during talks with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that it would become part of Russia within "several years".
