The Very Hush Hush

The Very Hush Hush (TVHH) is an indie rock band originally from Colorado. The musical style of TVHH has been described as post-rock and shoegaze by journalists [Jonathan Bitz. History

The Very Hush Hush took form in 1998 when Peter Rappmund joined with Grant Outerbridge in Golden, Colorado. The band's original lineup consisted only of drums and synthesizers. In 2003, TVHH added drummer Paul Symons for work on their first set of studio songs [Steve Seigel. [http://lightingwillguideyou.blogspot.com/2005/08/tvhh-qa-pt1.html "Interview with TVHH"] ] .

Symons left the band after the release of their self-titled EP. Soon thereafter, TVHH recorded their follow up EP entitled "Washing Songs" with new drummer, Lucas Salg.

Salg left TVHH in 2004 and was enlisted by Denver band Killfix featuring former members of Bear Vs. Larger Bear. The Very Hush Hush followed "Washing Songs" with another EP, "Sign Language" that included the song "Love, Like Love" which later appeared on their first full length album. "Sign Language" was followed by a full LP, "Mourir C'est Facile" (2005). A west coast tour commenced to support the album with the aid of label-mates Sean Merrell and Patrick Selvage from Tin Tin. Playing style

Interviews have stated the difference TVHH has wished to draw between their live and recorded body of work. Their outside performance relying on a heavily distorted sound while formal recordings centered more on an eclectic style of music production (liner notes from albums giving credit to Light Brigade Studios). In live performances, TVHH has often played with Sean Merrell and Patrick Selvage of the progressive Colorado rock band Tin Tin. The Very Hush Hush has also performed live with only core group members Rappmund and Outerbridge and a drum machine [Jonathan Bitz.
