David John Candlin (1928-?) was a British born physicist. He is known for developing the path integral formulation of the Fermionic field, inventing Grassmann integration for this purpose.[1] Candlin was born in the town of Mitchum, in Surrey, England. He received his PhD in 1955, and wrote his influential paper on Grassmann integration shortly thereafter. He was later appointed a lecturer at Edinburgh university.[2]
