John J. McClelland

John J. McClelland (b. December 7, 1976) is the 2008 Democratic nominee for Texas House of Representatives, District 64 in Denton County, Texas.

John McClelland was born in Red Bank, New Jersey. He lived in Eatontown, New Jersey, where he attended Meadowbrook School through the 4th grade. He moved with his mother to Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended Washington Street School, Kiser Middle School, and Northeast Guilford High School in North Carolina. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Geography.

2007 Election

Ron Natinsky (4,452 votes) defeated John McClelland (979 votes) in the May 2007 election for Dallas City Council Place 12.

2008 Election

John McClelland won an unopposed Democratic Primary on March 4th with 10,854 votes. He will face Republican Myra Crownover and Libertarian Jason Jordan in the General Election on November 4th.
