The Park Mark (formerly the Secured Car Parks Award), is an award presented to car parks in the
United Kingdom that meet the requirements of the Safer Parking Scheme scheme, designed to promote the design and operation of safe and secure car parks. The scheme is administered by theBritish Parking Association (BPA), a trade confederation, and owned by theAssociation of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) of England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and its Scottish equivalent.Accreditation to scheme is considered a prestigious award, and as such, "Park Mark" is a registered trade mark in the UK, with recipients entitled to display the official logo on publicity, sings and vehicles. Park Mark is awarded after an assessment by a
Police Architectural Liaison Officer , and its status is subsequent to regular re-assessment.
