Panther Student Union

PSU sponsors a variety of school activities run by the amazing students at St. Peter’s. Activities such as Spirit Days, Spirit Assemblies, Monsignor Clair Cup, Semi-Formals & Dances, Gr. 9 Orientation, Homeroom Contests, Spring Fling, Cabaret, Spring Fever, Sears Drama Festival, etc….
These events are planned by the dedicated students involved in the Panther Student Union. Executive meetings occur every second Wednesday after school in room 138, and our Committee Chairpersons are busy meeting with their committees each week! We invite anyone to come out and to put forth any ideas. We’re looking forward to continuing a great year! Students interested in joining a committee are encouraged to speak to their teachers or visit the Activities Office.

I am a Student

I was born the moment my first question was asked, andI continue to seek knowledge on a daily basis.

I am a warrior. I face the daily challenges of peer pressure, prejudice, negativity, fear, conformity and ignorance, but I have the ability to overcome these obstacles. My strength, determination and ability to make my own decisions, will guide me. I understand that the outcomes of my decisions will affect my future and that of others.

I am a life long learner. Since learning is a continuousjourney, my role as a student will never end. Eventhough I may not enjoy sitting in a classroom hearing a lecture or taking notes, I know that I am able to learn through every day experiences.

I am unique. Although it is sometimes difficult for me to accept other people’s styles, interests, and characteristics,I understand that each person is special and that I must accept everyone equally, regardless of their race, religion, colour or appearance.

I am uncertain about my future. Throughout the courseof any day, I am bombarded with many questions about what I want to do with my life and I am unsure. There are so many choices and opportunities. I realize that I am in control of my own life and I hope that in my search to find myself, that I gain control of my future.

I am gifted. Whether I play an instrument, create an artistic masterpiece, play a sport, share my voice, write poetry, or use my gifts of listening, leadership, persistence, patience, strength or courage, I am able to use these God given gifts to help build my relationships with all those I encounter on the journey.
