Lucy Kate Hale (born Karen Lucille Hale June 14, 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee), is an American actress and singer. She has been credited as either Lucy Hale or Lucy Kate Hale.

Career

Hale appeared on "American Juniors" in 2003. After the American Juniors band dissolved, Hale focused on acting, which had been a passion of hers for a while.

She had guest roles on shows such as "Drake & Josh", "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide", "The O.C.", and "How I Met Your Mother". She filmed an ABC pilot for the show "Secrets of a Small Town"; a FOX pilot called "The Apostles", and CBS pilot called "American Family".

In "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" she portrays Effie, Lena's little sister.

She appeared in some of the episodes of the new Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place" as Miranda Hampson, Justin Russo's goth girlfriend. Hale also appeared in NBC's short-lived re-imagining of the "Bionic Woman" as Becca Sommers, younger sister to title character Jaime Sommers.

She stars in The CW's new TV show "Privileged" and portrays one of the evil Baker twins, co-starring with Ashley Newbrough and Joanna Garcia.

On the message board of her website, Lucy has stated that she is working on her first, so-far unnamed solo album.
