His passion for electronic music was evident from an early age. Often missing school to experiment with synthesisers, computer music programs and turntables. James soon realised music was to be his future.
He continued to develop his technical ability, studying music technology at college. It was then with some friends that he founded the renowned club night “White Rabbit” in Bristol, UK and started the act “Fucha Elektronikz”.
It wasn’t long until James really began to erupt in the music scene, holding several club residencies, performing across the UK and his productions becoming very sought after.
Recently James teamed up with the respected UK artist
Leama to create a fresh and unique new act “Grafiti ”.This pairing has really blossomed and their productions have created a phenomenon in the electronic music scene. With a smashing remix of the classic "Three Drives - Greece 2000", "Jose Gonzales - Deadweight on Velvetine", new indie-folk band 'The Steals' and the massive UK act "Hybrid". Their remix of "Hybrid - The Formula of Fear", which showcases their more techno side of production. This is due for release on "Distinctive Records " in October 2008.Original material includes: "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech", "The Steals vs Grafiti - Sinner" and the forthcoming summer smash, "Grafiti - Fascinated". "Grafiti - 'Ghettoech" made it onto "Markus Shultz's - Amsterdam 08" compilation "Ghettotech" see's a superb remix from "D-DUB", which has been gaining support from the likes of "
John Digweed ", "Dave Seaman " and "Way Out West ". "The Steals vs Grafiti - Sinner" was also been picked up by "Cyber Records" and their original mix is one of the illustrious gems that has recently made it onto "Nick Warren's" new "Global Underground " compilation "LIMA". With a "Pierce remix" in the waiting, "Sinner" is eagerly anticipated and expected to cause a stir amongst electronic music lovers across the world. Grafiti's "Fascinated", considered by the few select Dj's who have it as their biggest single to date, has been picked up by "Little Mountain Records " and will feature an exclusive remix by the Dutch house master himself, "Sander Kleinenberg ". "Fasinated" not only proved to be the biggest record of their Xmas / New Years 07' tour but also undeniably became the biggest track in the current "Turn the Table " global warming events, which raises awareness about global warming through electronic music. "Grafiti" were chosen as residents to front the campaign amongst other well-known acts including, "BT", "Richie Hawtin ", and "DJ Rap ".The duo, have just completed their latest remix of the "
Sasha " classic, "Aquilla - Dreamstate", which fuses their lush journey sound-scape's, over a tech based groove and once again resulting in yet another dance floor rocker. This is due for release on "Northern Exposure" later on in the year and is one not to be missed. This music has gained enviable support from some of the worlds leading djs; '
Sasha ', 'John Digweed ', 'Tiesto ', 'Sander Kleinenberg ', 'Satoshi Tomiie ' to name a few.But it isn’t just his productions, which are receiving such critical acclaim. His ability to DJ uniquely with “
Ableton ”, “CDJs” and Turntables all at the same time has got audience around the globe captivated.“Utilising the very latest in technology alongside generic DJ equipment gives me a opportunity to create and sculpt a unique sound for people to experience on the dance floor that I would otherwise not be able to do as effectively.” Says James.Alongside regular performances at leading UK clubs such as Coolhouse, Loco, Electronic Sessions, White Rabbit, James has made appearances in Austria, Colombia, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the USA, wowing crowds with a unique blend of his own current and forthcoming productions along with those of other artists who fit his distinctive and original sound.
