Wilson's Hospital School

Wilson's Hospital is a private boarding school set on an extensive 200 acre estate between Lough Derravarragh and Lough Owel in County West-Meath, Ireland. [http://www.whs.ie/]

The school is of the Church of Ireland (Anglican) ethos and is located in the Diocese of Meath and Kildare.

It was founded in 1791 by Andrew Wilson, and was originally intended as a hospital for old men and a school for boys. The school became co-educational in 1969 when it amalgamated with Preston School at the original Wilson's Hospital site.

Famous alumni include Ireland rugby international Andrew Thompson and successful jockey and racehorse trainer, Charlie Swan

For 2008 - 2009, the fees were €2750 for day pupils and €7730 for boarders per annum
