Some authors consider the genus Paradrina to be a subgenus of Caradrina, hence the species is also known as Caradrina clavipalpis or Caradrina (paradrina) clavipalpis.

The wingspan is 26-35 mm. The length of the forewings is 12-15 mm. The moth flies from April to October depending on the location.

The larvae feed on Plantago and various grasses.
