Kamloops Golden Baseball League Team

The Kamloops Golden Baseball League Team is a future professional baseball franchise to be based out of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. They could start playing their home games at NorBrock Stadium by the tentative date of May 28, 2009. They are currently making progress in negotiations and could have a stadium deal in place by January 2009, just in time for the start of the season. The other two include Kelowna, British Columbia and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Kamloops would be the fourth GBL team to operate out of Canada and the city's first-ever professional baseball team, independent or minor league. The other three are the Calgary Vipers and Edmonton Cracker-Cats, two teams that joined the league in 2008 after leaving the Northern League, and the expansion Victoria Seals, who entered the league on October 1, 2008. The team would join the Seals and the Tucson Toros as a GBL expansion team.
