Stefan Böhm (other last name versions: Beym, Bem) (
December 25 ,1741 -February 26 ,1813 ) was aWarsaw executioner .After leaving medican studies on
University of Königsberg he became official inKarol Stanisław "Panie Kochanku" Radziwiłł lands. Then he joinedBar Confederation and was seriously injured in head during a battle withRussia n forces inTyniec . He was saved and fled toLidzbark Warmiński , where he lived with local executioner, named Mueller, who teached him in this profession.In 1793, after working as a one of the bridges over Bug River supervisor, Böhm was pressured by
President of Warsaw Ignacy Wyssogota Zakrzewski to take a job of Warsaw executioner, which post vacated after Jan Mueller, brother of Libdbark executioner.Böhm was very popular among Warsaw citizens. There was even a saying: "you'll go to Stefanek for a dinner", which means of course being executed by him.
Böhm carried out most of executions on
Targowica Confederation leaders duringKościuszko Uprising .
