Austin Scarlett is a New York City based fashion designer from the first season of Bravo’s Project Runway. He is currently creative director of the KENNETH POOL bridal collection.

Biography

Austin Scarlett was raised in Eugene, Oregon as the oldest of three siblings. His parents are Deborah Little and Christopher Scarlett.

Scarlett attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where he specialized in couture and eveningwear design and received his diploma in fashion design.

Scarlett moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to work in costume design. After a year in Hollywood, he returned to New York City and became a finalist on Project Runway, making a name for himself with his elegant designs.

After Project Runway, Scarlett produced couture collections under his own name for fall 2005 and spring 2006. He has also appeared as a fashion designer and commentator on MTV, E!, Discovery Channel, Logo and NBC’s Today Show, and published in NY Daily News, Life and Style, Elle, US Weekly, and iVillage.

In January of 2006, New York design house AMSALE announced that Austin Scarlett had joined the company as creative director of the KENNETH POOL label.
