"Alienating Our Audience" is a live album by the band Mindless Self Indulgence, released on October 8 2002 (see 2002 in music). The album contains many fan favorites from the "Tight" era, as well as six previously unreleased tracks. The recordings took place throughout the band's tour with System of a Down (February 14-March 1st), but mostly pulled material from two shows: May 13 at CBGB's in New York City, NY and May 15 at The Whiskey A-Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA.

The album also contains two of The Left Rights' videos, "Darth Vader (Who Gives a Sith)/Weirdo" and "Place Disclaimer Here".

Unreleased Studio Versions

In January of 2002, Mindless Self Indulgence were supposed to release a studio album on Elektra Records. But due to many issues with Elektra, (the most notable being an issue with Missy Elliot) MSI left Elektra and the album was never released. This lead to MSI self-releasing Alienating Our Audience in 2002 instead. The track list is unknown but Thank God, and 2 Hookers and an Eightball were confirmed and most of the unreleased songs that are featured on Alienating Our Audience were most likely on the album. There were also other live tracks played at the time like "Animal", and "Bullshit", that were likely to have been on the album, both of these songs were re-recorded on later albums. The tracks "Revenge", and "2 Hookers", were re-recorded on later albums as well.
