Mohammed Ibn Rushayd or Muhibb al-Din Abu Abdallah Mohammed ibn Umar ibn Rushayd al-Fihri al-Sabti (1259–1321) (Ar:ابن رشيد الفهري، أبو عبد الله محمد بن عمر ) was a judge, writer and scholar of Hadith, born in Sabta, Morocco. He is especially famous as a traveller and author of a well-known rihla. He was a near contemporary of Ibn Battuta (1304–1377) and the author of 18 works.[1]
